Designer jean buying can be very difficult but once you figure out your body type and what works for you it really is not that bad. Remember, designer jeans are supposed to flatter you.
1. Stretch means they will stretch out when you wear them and rigid means they will not stretch. I personally prefer a little stretch but not too much. Too much poly or lycra means they will be falling off me by the end of the day.
2. Bootcut, flare, skinny, and straight leg are all important. Bootcut is the most flattering for most people. It helps to balance out your body from your hips to your feet. Skinny jeans look great on some people but are not meant to be worn by heavier people. I personally do not like skinny jeans on myself but think they look awesome on a size 2 woman. If only I could fit into that size. Straight leg jeans will help to elongate and slim your legs without clinging to them like skinny jeans do. You can wear the with boots also.
3. Rise is also an important factor in your jean buying. Low rise is great but too low and you will be exposing your glory for all to see. I like a 8″ rise with a nice back rise to cover everything nicely. If all else fails, wear a tank tucked in to protect you when you are bending or squatting.
4. Pockets are very important. Pocket style makes your jeans more flattering. No pockets and small pockets will make your behind look larger. Larger pockets will help to make it look smaller. Pockets that are positioned a little off center to outsides will help to slim the look of your hips. Flaps on your pockets add some style to the jeans. Some great examples of flap pockets are Hudson Jeans and True Religion jeans Joey style. Both of these brands do an exceptional job of utilizing pockets to flatter your behind.
5. Do not believe what you hear: Brand does matter! Believe it or not, designer jeans are one thing you should spend money on. Once you wear jeans from Hudson jeans or True Religion Jeans you will never be able to wear another pair of cheap jeans again. Nothing compares to the look, fit, durability, and comfort of a nice pair of designer jeans. Spend your money on your jeans and cut back on the accessories if necessary but whatever you do, do not skimp on your jeans.
